Electric Africa: The Digital Orchestra
OMAi joined forces with Nigerian visual artists and musicians to present a live show at ART X Lagos in Nigeria.
Last weekend OMAi was invited by Absolut to join forces with Nigerian visual artists and musicians to present a live show called under the label under the label Electric Africa: The Digital Orchestra, as part of ART X Lagos in Nigeria.
The visual part was provided by artists Osaze Amadasun and Williams Chechet from Lagos. Absolut hooked them up with Josef Dorninger of the OMAi crew to present their Tagtool art at the show. The sound was taken care of by Nigerian singers and musicians Poe, Tomi Thomas and Wavy the Creator.
The artists were quick to adapted their individual styles to the Tagtool medium. They developed the concept for the live show together with the musicians during rehearsals. The resulting show was a big success with the audience.
